Okay it's Thursday already! Monday and Tuesday went by pretty well. Legs were sore in the morning of course, after my run. That I am getting use to, it's not as bad as it use to be so I am very happy about that! The evening workouts have been tough, Monday went pretty fast and Tuesday was only an hour and a half. So so happy about that! Yesterday I got the day off and it was so awesome, I slept in, which was great. In the afternoon it was kind of a surprise to me that I didn't have to go to the gym. I had actually forgotten it was rest day and was thinking I had to go after work, what a pleasant evening that was without the gym!
I also started my new diet yesterday! I actually was very nervous about it on Tuesday and I just felt scared like I wouldn't be able to follow it. I have two options for each meal and fish is one of my dinner options. I hate fish, sick, sick, sick! All day Tuesday I was really worried about the fish, I asked people at work what they would recommend for me from the 4 or 5 options that I had. What tastes not fishy? When we went to the grocery store to buy all the new things that we needed we got to the fish section and they didn't have Halibut which was their first pick for me. They did have Talapia though, the 2nd pick, so we grabbed it and brought it all home.
My first meal of the day was great. The only change to my shake was Almond milk instead of regular milk. It's a little thicker and sweeter, reminds me of sweetened condensed milk. It didn't make my yummy shake taste horrible so I am pretty happy about that!
Lunch was the same, turkey sandwich but instead of avocado I got almond butter on the side. This made me sad because I love the avocado on my sandwich.
Boy am I excited about me new snack!! Pineapple! mmmmm so happy about this! And I've never been a huge cottage cheese fan but for the first time in my life, yesterday I was so happy I get to eat it. I think more because it's a change really but it was delicious!
Then Dinner came around..... time to try the fish. Would you believe it, it didn't taste horrible! Oh I was so relieved! It's not like it's my favorite meal but I'm glad I know I can eat it without gaging. I only have to eat it for a few weeks of my life so that's not going to kill me.
Today has been great! I biked this morning, I had eggs for breakfast with oatmeal and I'm really excited for my pineapple snack this afternoon! Tonight should be tough at the gym, I can't wait!
